CAPPADOCIA BLUE TOUR

The first stop is Mustafapaşa, which is famous for its beautiful architecture. It was the largest Greek city of Cappadocia until the exchange in 1924, when the Greek and Turkish people were exchanged. The guide tells you about the world's largest exchange, where nearly 2 million people left their homes. In Mustafapaşa, you can see Greek mansions and churches, madrasas, and the Faculty of Theology. From here we go to our next stop, Keşlik Monastery. Here you can see rare examples of frescoes. This extraordinary mural painting dates from the Byzantine Empire period. Our next stop is Şahinefendi. Here, the Sobesos Excavation site is visited. Archaeologists have obtained very important artifacts since they started excavating here (in the last 10 years) and excavations are still ongoing. You can see Roman baths, tombs, basilica and mosaic stones in this archaeological area. From Şahinefendi we continue to Soğanlı Valley. Soganli is the third largest monk's center in the region, and many cave churches and a beautiful valley walk await you here. Before starting our walk, we will have lunch at a local restaurant. You can also see the famous Soğanlı dolls made by village women here. In the afternoon, the Soganli Valley trek begins and when the trek comes to an end, our tour ends.
