Our tour starts with the first stop at Uçhisar Castle. After transferring information by the guide, photos are taken around the castle.
Departure to Zelve Open Air Museum. In
the Göreme Open Air Museum, which was included in the UNESCO World Heritage
List in 1985, you can see rock churches, chapels carved from the outside by the
first Christians, and an Orthodox Monastery where those fleeing Roman
persecution took shelter. On the walls of churches and chapels, you can see
amazing frescoes. The frescoes have survived to this day, based on the erosive
effects of time.
The clay soil used in making pottery comes from Kızılırmak, which was also known as Hallys in ancient times, which was the longest river in Turkey and passing through the city.
A shop with a pottery workshop is
visited. You can watch the making of pottery and pottery, you can try it
yourself.
The next stop is Devrent (Imagination Valley).
